When you left, you didn't tell me, "Goodbye". When you left, you didn't say anything at all. You just went away, away to somewhere that I couldn't go... because no one would let me go after you. Now, after all this time, I'm going to bring you back, no matter what.

"Sasuke!" He turned around, remembering a voice he knew so well. "Naruto? What the..." He had no time to finish. The blonde wouldn't give any time to him, not after he already used up two long, painful years. He grabbed the neck of the other boy's shirt. "Shut up, Sasuke-teme! What the hell is wrong with you? How could you do this to everyone?" Naruto looked away, and let his hands fall to his sides. "How could you do this to me...?"

Sasuke blinked. "Naruto, what the hell are you talking..." He stopped. Had he just heard the faintest hint of a whimper, or was he going insane? "You know what I'm talking about, damn it. You abandoned us, and for what? You could have stayed with us, Sasuke... I-- everyone would have helped you..." Naruto gritted his teeth, head still down.

"You were never a good actor, dobe..." Naruto flinched, and spun around quickly, kunai in hand, as he felt Sasuke's presence behind him. "Wha... what the... What the hell are you doing, Sasuke?!" The boy forgot to even say the insult in his shock. Sasuke was... hugging him? "Why...?" Naruto gripped Sasuke's shirt, burying his head in his shoulder. "Why the hell do you keep torturing me, damn it?! You LEFT two freaking years ago, and now, when I'm finally going to fight you, when I am finally going to bring you back where you belong, why?!"

Sasuke groaned. "Damn it, Naruto... I told you why, two years ago... I have to; I have to get revenge for my family. You know that; you know that Itachi killed them. I have to kill him." Naruto gripped his shirt tighter, and started shaking. "Why? Why do you have to do this? Even if he did kill your clan, why do you have to leave? Why do you have to go that evil freak, Orochimaru? Why do you have to hurt me so much, be so insensitive, yell at me, insult me...? Why do you have to be so sad, and angry all the time, when I'm right here, right now, telling you that... That I..."

Naruto inhaled shakily, and Sasuke could feel a wet spot forming on his shirt. "Naruto, I have to leave so I can get stronger. Orochimaru is training me, damn it! I have to get stronger! I have to kill Itachi!" Naruto looked up at Sasuke, glaring with tear filled eyes. "Damn it, why?! Just tell me why you have to kill him, why you're so obsessed!" "Because he murdered my entire family, Naruto! What are you, stupid?"

Naruto glared at him. "The only reason for me being stupid, Sasuke..." He moved closer to Sasuke, and smiled sadly. "Is that I fell in love with you." He pressed his lips softly against Sasuke's, and silent tears streamed gently down his cheeks. After a moment, he pulled away, and Sasuke stared in shock. The last thing he had expected had just happened... and he liked it.

"Fine, Sasuke, I'll let you do whatever the hell you want to. It's not like I'll be able to change what you're doing... I just hope that, someday, you'll come back. Please?" Naruto pushed away from Sasuke, and with that, jumped into the cover of the trees, headed back for Konohagakure. Sasuke blinked, and sighed. He turned, and walked into the darkness of the forest, head down.

"...I love you, too."

"I'll see you later."
